Wood Circles Christmas Tree Ornament
A cute project for the kids to help create and decorate the tree! Use wood pieces or buttons in your choice of colors.
Materials:
1 ea - 1-1/2" wood star with button holes (white)
11 ea - 3/4" wood circles with button holes (green)
8 ea - 1" wood circles with button holes ( 6 each green, 1 gold, 1 red)
3 ea 1-1/2" wood circles with button holes ( 1 each green, gold, red)
3 ea - 1-3/4" wood circles with button holes (1 each green, gold, red)
Acrylic paint - white, red, gold, green
Paint brush or cosmetic sponge
Scissors
24" twine
Aleene’s Tacky Glue (to prepare twine ends to push through button holes)
Instructions:
1 . Prepare twine by adding a dab of glue to each end. Press twine with fingers and let dry for 10 minutes. Use scissors to narrow glued end to help create a thinner end to push through button holes.
2. Add bottom circle to twine. Find center of twine center circle. Continue to add each circle with spacer inbetween and finish with star. Tie twine in double knot. Tie additional knot at end of twine. Cut off remaining ends.
