Katheryn Tidwell Bieber has been designing and creating for as long as she can remember. Her first creative project was a pair of knee high boots made entirely of soft squishy mud patted onto her own legs. She was so thrilled with their beauty she ran into the house to show them off to her mother (who also appreciated their beauty but was less than thrilled and recommended that they only be worn outside...)

 Katheryn was blessed to begin to learn the secrets of creative joy from her parents. Her mother made sure the family visited every possible museum, symphony, library and ballet, and from her father (an engineer) taught by example that you can make or fix anything if you just keep trying new things and talk kindly to yourself. Throughout her life she has continued to delight in the joy of making and creating new things, and believes that there is no such thing as a mistake, you should just delight in the fact that you have created a new variation!

Always following a new creative muse her greatest love is speaking and empowering women and children to believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Well known as a craft expert, author, designer and speaker in many fields, Katheryn has hosted and designed crafts for television shows on HGTV, DIY, the Discovery Channel and TNN, on television shows such as Aleene's Creative Living, Home Matters, Our Place, Hand Made by Design, Carol Duvall and QVC.

She has also designed a wide variety of projects for companies such as Butterick, Simplicity, McCalls, Vogue and for magazines including Woman's Day, Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle and more and taught classes all over the country in everything from ribbonwork, and scrapbooking to "Creating a Joyful Life".

Her new book  Felt It! Stitch It! Fabulous!: Creative Wearables from Flea Market Finds focuses on creating beautiful projects for heart home and family out of thrift store finds. ~
