This
Pizza Box Art is from one of my favorite designers -
Heidi Borchers. (Ok so she also happens to be my sister!)
This is a wonderful recycling project that looks like art.
It is made from a pizza box, cereal box, some paper towels
and CD's. It's fun, it's easy for any age and it is made
from all recycled materials. Check it out!

These bright

this week. Fabric flowers and personalized lettering
transform these wooden trays into a great desktop
catch-all.> Love
it!>>Tiff |

I
just love fused glass so this week I recommend that you go
to
DiamondTechCrafts.com. My project pick is
Just Dreaming Pendant by Rita Schwab. There is a pdf
that you can download on this and other projects. Love it!>>Heidi |
My project pick of the week is from
Tipnut.com and
comes
from
MollyLikestoDraw.blogspot.com. In this project, you use
packing tape and magazine pictures to make picture transfers
for collage. I can't wait to try this! >>Candace |
My
project pick this week comes from Vickie Howell's blog. It's
the cutest
Mason Jar and Twine Vases. I love the natural feel of
these vases with the bright flowers. Breathing new life into
mason jars with natural twine, these cuties are perfect for
the summer picnic table.>>Tiff |

Our challenge from Green Doreen Liccione this week is to
make the switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs. Did you know that a
CFL will save about $30 over its
lifetime and pay for itself in about 6 months. It uses 75
percent less energy and lasts about 10 times longer than an
incandescent bulb. If that's not enough to convince you, did
you know that replacing 1 regular bulb with a CFL would
eliminate the same emissions created by 1 million cars. Make the switch! |

Our challenge from Green Doreen Liccione this week is to
Phyllis
Dobbs has been designing in the creative industry
for 24-years with a focus on quilt and needlework designs.
For the past few years, she has been designing fabrics and
textile products as well as licensing her whimsical and
colorful art for gift and garden products. Phyllis' newest
fabric collection "It's a Dog's
Life" for Quilting Treasures debuted at the 2009
International Quilt Market and she will have several gift
and garden products available from her licensees this
summer. The focus of this week's interview with
Phyllis is Watching Trends - tips on determining trends and
using them for designing, crafting and decorating.
It's
PattieWack! Pattie Donham Wilkinson will be joining us
to talk about
objects, or create something that is both out of this world
and daringly stylish." She is an author-designer of more than
20 crafts books and magazines, veteran television host,
national TV guest, and maven of creative madness! Many of
our Aleene's fans will remember Pattie from Aleene's
Creative Living television show.
This
week's Herban Living home remedy feature is Baking Soda.
This is another staple in everyone's kitchen but I guess you
might think it is only for refrigerator odor control or
baking but you can use baking soda for so much more!>>Candace
