Plastic Food Container Organizers

Materials
Plastic food containers (the type that lettuce, greens, spring mix and spinach come in)
Colored masking tape
Pre-cut self-stick craft foam alphabet letters
Scissors

General Instruction Notes:

These types of containers usually come in two sizes. They can certainly be challenging just because of their size. We certainly don't want them in our landfill so it took just a short bit of pondering to come up with this idea. When I looked at them, my first thought was "if only" they could be storage containers. They are the right size -- the large one is about the same size as a plastic shoebox container. But, the problem is -- they are a bit flimsy. Problem solved! I found masking tape in lots of colors so I used the masking tape to "reinforce" these containers -- which also doubled as a colorful decor band!  Simply stick the masking tape onto the plastic storage container right where you want it. Trim and cut to fit. Then cut small designs from the masking tape and stick them in place. Remove paper backing from lettering and press in place.

Heidi's Designer Tips:  You definitely need a good sharp pair of scissors on this project. The tape is sticky so your scissors need to be sharp, sharp, sharp. Also, if you wanted to paint these organizers, you could use Krylon's Fusion Paint for Plastic!
