When Aleene moved into hosting her own television show, it
was a whole new arena for her. She remembers "On my third
show, I remember, all of a sudden I lost my train of thought
and I froze, like a deer in the headlights, with nothing to
say for about five or six seconds, though it seemed like
hours to me. I've never forgotten it, but I also never let
it happen again." Aleene continued to develop her television presentation skills and learning about public relations. At this time, she had three very young children at home (Fred, Candace & Heidi) so she was a very busy lady. At that time she also did guest spots on other television shows such as The AM Show, Red Rowe, Regis Philbin, Al Jarvis Show and Art Linkletter. |
